Red Dot Sight

A red dot sight is an optical sight that works differently from telescopic sights and usually does not have a
magnification system. Its principle of operation is that the light emitted by the illumination system passes
through the reticle and forms a light spot (or a circular ring or other aiming mark) on the beam splitter,
which is then reflected as parallel light into the shooter’s eyes. The shooter only needs to align the mark
with the target to complete the aiming, and the accuracy is not affected even if the line of sight is not on
the optical axis of the sight.
Red dot sights are suitable for close-range and high-mobility combat and are often equipped on close
combat weapons such as pistols and submachine guns. They allow shooters to quickly aim at moving
targets and observe the battlefield environment with both eyes simultaneously.
